Peg Loom Weaving
Saturday April 26th 2008 & Monday March 24th 2008.
10-4pm

We will be working with knitting yarns to create a piece of weaving. Peg Looming is very easy to do and it's a good way to use up some of your odd bits of yarn. Chunky yarn is better for the base, using more than one yarn gives the piece a more interesting look. From your piece of work you will be able to make a handbag or wall hanging.

Knitting With Wire
Tuesday March 18th 2008.
10-4pm

We will be working with very fine wire suitable for knitting, by adding beads and fine knitting yarns it is possible to get a very interesting texture for 3D pieces. ie- flowers, bracelets, necklaces, broaches. We will start with the basics so you can get used to knitting with wire it should be possible for you to get your bracelet made and finished in the workshop.

Silk Paper With Felt
Saturday May 3rd 2008.
10-4pm

We will be making silk paper from silk tops and then going on to felt it with Merino wool tops. This makes an interesting fabric to make handbags and wall hangings.

Wearable Art
Saturday March 22nd 2008.
10-4pm

We will be making small pieces of textured fabric from Tyvek, silk tops and felt to turn into Broaches, Pendants and Earrings. Sewing machine required for this workshop.

Water Soluble Paper - Hot & Cold Cards, Brooches & Pendants

This is machine embroidery with some hand sewing. We will be using silk paper, chiffon, sweet papers, strips of silk and water soluble paper. You will need to bring your own sewing machine.

We will be doing test pieces to adjust tension and stitch and going on to make a decorative cushion cover using machine embroidery and organza. You will need to bring your own sewing machine.

New Textured Handbags
Saturday April12 2008.
10-4pm

We will be making Fabric from Felt, Silk, Spectrum and Chiffon Scarves, sewn down with a sewing machine. A heat gun will also be used. See Gifts Page for photographs.

We will be making unusual boxes or vessels out of Fabric Bondaweb, Craft Vilene and machine embroidery.

Please Note: Sewing machines must be in good working order. In the event of your machine not working or breaking down, there will be a charge of £5 if you need to use one of my machines.
